On Thursday the first stop was at Danville Junction in Auburn, ME where I caught up with WAPO at 12:22 with the MEC 3401 leading and 619, 606, 507, & 604. And I followed them down to Cumberland Center.
I met PORU with MEC 330 on the lead and 511, 503 & 38 cars trailing at New Gloucester at 13:32. Along about here I discovered that my little camera had no SD card and could not put any more pictures on the internal memory, so I would need to pick up either a SD card or replace the old thing with a better camera. I chose to replace it at Walmart in South Portland when I went by.
After I left Walmart I heard that POED was headed out so I skipped down to Winnocks Neck Road and saw that POED had the MEC 7627, 7528, & 7835. The crew reported that they had 44 loads and 23 empties, but there was not enough light for good pictures. I saw them meet Amtrak 685 & 688 at Wells and was able to beat them to Dover.
New Hampshire North Coast was also at Dover with DOBO and NHN 3825, FURX 5509, & NHN 3823 doing the nightly switching. Not being familiar with the new Canon EOS Rebel T100 I didn't try night pictures.
